Due to recent events!

Hello everyone! I hope you all are having an awesome start to summer.Unfortunately, our summer doesn't start till after the 4th of July here in Washington State :( But atleast we don't have any seriously dangerous and nasty creepy crawlies to really worry about lol!!

Anyhow, today I read a blog post by Enchanting Cosmetics (you can find it here ) about a bad experiance she had with an Indie polish maker and I thought this would be a perfect time to show you all some failure's we've had.

First, I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us, it truely means alot!
Second, making polish isn't just throwing pigments and/or glitter in a clear base, shaking it till you have given it shaken polish syndrome (lol) and naming it.It takes a lot of research, patience, passion, practice and money.I won't get into the amount we have spent and lost on this but trust me, it's been frustrating.

Here are some pics,

As you can see these are super fails!! We didn't have the right base and when we did it was to thick for my liking so we quit trying with these.
We are working with some pigment's but they have to sit for quite a while so we know they will stay suspended. Also they have to be something I would use/buy myself.
We have also made a one of a kind polish that was a prize for my first giveaway back in April that my husband made for me.I loved it so much I had to have him make it again for my winner and the first 5 people who purchased our polishes got a little sample of it as well because I had an extra bottle just sitting here.
We continue to test our polishes for your safety and ours.I keep 1 of every batch we make for myself on my polish shelf so we can monitor the glitter's/base and so we have some idea of what the shelf life will be.

I would also like to add that we were going to re-use old bottle's because it keeps cost down and it is better for the enviroment BUT it was to much of a pain in the butt and I didn't like it. So we got all new bottle's.
Even with all the labels, boxes, bottle's and fails we still didn't want to up our price because we want to stand true to raising awareness for Scoliosis and Shriner's Hospitals for Children not to pad our wallet!
We want to assure you that we have taken every measure to ensure a quality polish that we can be proud of.If you have any questions or concernes please contact us at Shawnzangel98@gmail.com

Sorry for such a long post but we felt it was necessary given the Indie drama lately!
Thank you for reading :)

<3 Shawn & Angel

Sorry about the spelling I am in a hurry to post this :P

Tip Top Nail's Swatches and Review!

Hello everyone!

Today I have some swatches and review of 4 Tip Top polishes.Let me start off by saying when Joan asked me if I would like to receive some to review I thought she meant 1 or 2. I did not expect to get 4!!
Ok on to the swatches. All swatches are 2 coats without a top coat unless otherwise stated.

We will start with Urban Chic which is a creamy nude.Very well pigmented.Urban Chic is very close to my skin color so I would say she is a true nude. She would be perfect for jobs that require unnoticeable mani's or a sophisticated dinner party.Application was perfect, flawless actually.I could have gotten away with 1 coat but I'm use to doing 2.

On to Let Me Be.This one is one of my fave's.I actually tried this one first because it reminds me of Barbie and I love Barbie and pink!Again application was flawless.I still had a visible nail line so she was a 2 coater.

Next up is Dangerous Robot.Dangerous Robot is a creamy bright red.I think it might be a jelly which I own very few of. Once again application was flawless. And it dried so shinny! I will use this one alot.

The last one is Boston Lights.Boston Lights is a maroonish / Burgundy color. My husband call it a champagne rose color. The picture's don't show it's true color for some reason.Anyway this one is my fave of the 4 and she is a 1 coater which is a plus! Application was flawless on this one as well.

Bottom line?!?! I LOVE Tip Top! I heard from several lady's that these were great polishes and once I tried them I would be addicted and they were right! The application on all of these was so smooth I had to pinch myself  because I thought I was dreaming lol. I would pay Tip Top Dollar for these if I just knew where to buy them :(. Tip Top nail polishes are also completely free of Formaldehyde, Dibutylphthalate, DBP, Toluene and Camphor.
You can find them on Facebook here.Don't forget to "like" them while your there and tell them Mega Nailattude sent you :)

What do you all think? Would you pay Tip Top Dollar for them? Let me know down below in the comment's section!

TTFN,

** These products were sent to me for review from Tip Top Nails. I was NOT paid for my opinion. All opinion's are my own and 100% honest .**

Orly Mysterious Curse Swatches & Review

Hello everyone,

Today I will be showing you Orly Mysterious Curse from the Dark Shadow's Collection.First I want to thank my husband for going to Sally's and talking them into putting it on hold and selling it to me early! If it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't have gotten it. I'm such a lucky girl :)
Anyway, I was really excited to get this one.I love duochrome's and this one is a beautiful purple/blue duo,my 2 favorite color's! Unfortunately the application sucked. It really pains me to say that about Orly because they have always been my favorite and I've never had any problem's with them before. It was very thick and goopy so I put some thinner in it hoping I could fix it but it didn't work :(. There was a lot of bald spots and bubbles.I used 3 coats to try and even it out and it seemed to never dry thoroughly. I am very disappointed with this one and if I would have swatched it when I got it I would have taken it back.Oh well,on to the picture's.

Also as you can see there was some pulling and shrinkage.Boo!
Please excuse the clean up. I was quite upset with it so I didn't want to bother with the clean up!

What do you think? Did you buy the Dark Shadow's Collection? Is your Mysterious Curse like mine?
I love hearing from you so feel free to comment!
