My rant!

Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a fabulous Monday!!

Today I'm going to be talking about something that seems to be a touchy subject to most. Curling of teh glitters!! Gasp! I know, I know very touchy!!
Anyway, I was looking through some swatches of different glitter polishes and noticed a couple that were extremely curly, like OMG taco city! So I did a google search for more swatches of this polish and every single one was curly :(
Now, I'm sure you all think I'm talking about an Indie polish but guess what??? I'm not!! I am talking about several pretty big companies.Yes I said several.
The first one is Color Club Sugar Plum Yum.I don't own this one but you can see what I am talking about by clicking here. I'm sorry I don't have any picture's for you to view but I would rather just link to the site I saw them at.
The second one is Color Club Very Merry Berry which is also here.
The third one I found is Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday and you can see it here.
And finally there is Wet n Wild Spoiled Shuffle The Deck and Trust Fund Baby which you can see here.
I am sure there is more but I don't feel like looking!!

So, by now your probably wondering why the heck I'm talking about this and I will tell you.

Why is there a double standard when it comes to Indie brand vs Major brand's?
If people buy an Indie polish and the glitters sink or curl you are demanding a refund or a replacement and if that doesn't happen they are slandering them all over the internet. BUT if  they buy a Color Club it's ok and nothing gets said about it?!?!
One would think that it would be more upsetting if a major brand put out a less then adequate product with the amount of resource's they have available to them.
It just doesn't make any sense to me!!

I understand that there are some people out there that have seen the Indie craze and thought to themselves "Wow all I have to do is put some glitter in some clear polish and I can make a ton of money" and then sell them to poor unsuspecting buyer's and then get mad because their polish was crap!!

I looked at about 30 different reviews on these and not 1 of them said anything about the curling or tacoing of the glitters, but if you look for reviews of any Indie brand you will see that it is brought up at least once. :(
Is it just me or is it just a brand thing?
I dunno, but I can tell you that I think it's wrong.

/rant over

Sorry if I offended anyone, but I felt this needed to be said!!

Wet n Wild Fergie: Grammy Gold Swatches and Review

Hi everyone,
Sorry about the long delay in post. I will try to figure out how to schedule them and make it work!

Anywho, today I'm going to show you Wet n Wild Fergie: Grammy Gold!

                                                                     Direct Sunlight

                                                                        In the shade
                                                                       Ahh, delish!

I am loving this gold! It's so pretty!!

Application was great, went on nice and smooth and I love the brush on these!! I barely had any clean up which is a huge plus in my book!
The only gripe I have about this one is that it seemed to eat up my top coat, even with 3 coat's it wasn't as smooth as I would have liked.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing an awesome gold polish!

There ya have it! What do you think?

Wet n Wild Fergie Miami Spirit with Glamorous Swatches and Review

Hello everyone,

I'm really excited about today's post because today I'm going to show you Wet n Wild Fergie Miami Spirit with Glamorous and my The After Party for an accent nail!

Ok, first let me start by saying I'm not a big Fergie fan at all, but when I saw the press pic's of her polishes I had to have them all!! So my daughter and I went to Walgreen's and I grabbed 1 of each that was left (7)!!
We will start with Miami Spirit.

Miami Spirit is a teal green with green and blue shimmer. It is so pretty!!

                                                                See the shimmer???

 Isn't it pretty??
Application was perfect and I love that they used the wide brush that the Megalast line has.
It dries matte which I like because matte's seem to dry faster.
I used 2 coats with inm Out The Door top coat.

Here is Glamorous!

I used Glamorous to do a sideways glitter gradient type thing and used The After Party for my accent finger!
It's Glamorous!! hehe

What do you think? Did you buy any these??

                                                                           TTFN,

Hello everyone!

Today I'm going to show you the last and my favorite's of my On Safari Collection.

I used 2 coats for these.
                                                                            Shade!
                                                                        Direct Sunlight!

Shade (w/flash)

                                                                    Direct Sunlight!

Jungle Queen is my #1 fave out of this collection! Did you see that yummy shimmer! Stunning!!

Application for both was fabulous! Dry to the touch in roughly 2 min!

While I didn't buy the whole collection, I still love it! I think they nailed the "Safari" theme right on the head!

What do you think? Which is your favorite?

Thanks for reading!!!

China Glaze On Safari Collection swatches and review Part 2

Hello everyone!
Today I'm going to show you Adventure Red-y, I Herd That, and I'm Not Lion.

                                                                      In Direct Sunlight!

                                                                     In the shade!

Here is I Herd That! and I'm Not Lion.

I Herd That is packed with fine gold, red, blue and yellow glitter's. I'm Not Lion is more on the silver side with what looks like fine holo glitter!!
Application was great on all. And I have to say I absolutely love these. The glitter's are so darn pretty and that red my oh my! I could not for the life of me get my camera to capture the true color. Adventure Red-y is more of a light blood red. It's beautiful!

Well there ya have it, part 2 of On Safari Collection!

Until next time my peeps!

China Glaze On Safari Collection swatches and review. Part 1

Hello everyone! I hope you all are having a fabulous summer and your 4th was a blast!!

Seems like it's been forever since I have done a blog post and I am so sorry about that. It's been crazy busy around here since school let out for summer. And guess what?!?! WE HAVE SUN!! Blue skies, warm weather and sun!! Woohoo. I love Summer.
Today my 5 year old was in her little pool and I said "Isn't this the best time of year?" and she said "Yep it is the best time of year! Thank you Mother Nature!" Haha she's so cute.

Ok, on to the polish! Last weekend my mom and I went to Sally's and they had the Safari Collection. So of course I had to get some. I only bought the one's I liked but now I'm thinking about going back to get the rest.
Anyway, today I'll be showing you Exotic Encounters and Man Hunt. Both are 2 coats.

                                                                     In the Shade!
                                                             In Direct Sunlight!

                                                                          Shade!

                                                                  Partial Sunlight!

Application for both was as smooth as a babies bottom! Dry time was phenomenal considering it is 86 degree's. The only issue I have is the brush. Oh my dear China Glaze, When Are You Going To Update Your Brush!!

What do you think? Did you purchase any of  the On Safari Collection?
Stay tuned to see more tomorrow and my favorite's of this collection!!

As always thank you for reading!
