Sinful Colors: Zeus

Hey everyone,hope you all are having a great weekend! I know I have.As some of you know from my Facebook post my hubby and kids got food poisoning and have been sick all week. I was the only one who wasn't sick so I was busy taking care of them,so of course I didn't have time for much of anything.But they are all better now so its time for some swatches and reviews! Yay!
Today I have Sinful Colors Zeus.Its a very pretty dusty periwinkle/purple color with pink shimmer.I picked this beauty up Monday at Walgreens during their $.99 Sinful Colors sale. I was looking for a hidden bottle of Cinderella when I saw this behind the new neon's display so I'm pretty sure someone stashed it for the sale! I'm so glad I found it. Zeus is part of the Cast Away Collection that came out last month which for some reason I knew nothing about haha.
As with all my Sinful Colors polishes the application was smooth,not to thick nor to thin,and there was minimal clean up and the dry time wasn't to bad either.I think Sinful Colors out did themselves with this one!It is definitely in my top 5 favorites!Now I need to find the other 7 polishes from the collection!
I used 2 coats.

Day 3 - Yellow

Here is day 3 of the 31 day challenge.

 I used Zoya's Pippa. She is a very bright yellow creme no shimmer just creme and reminded me of a New York taxi cab so of course i had to do my yellow mani based on it!
I have several other Zoya colors and I have to say this has been the worst out of all the one's I have tried so far.It was very thick and caused bald spots all over the place so I had to do 3 coats to even it out.It's ok thought because I probably will only use it once in awhile for other nail art anyway cause I'm not much of a yellow polish kind of girl!
So there ya have it my day 3 and a Zoya review!

Day 2 - Orange

Here is day 2 of the 31 day challenge.I used Finger Paints Print & Printsess.I have to say I am very impressed with Finger Paints.I'm not much of an orange fan and I think I only own 3 but this one might just change that.

Application was smooth,wasn't to thick nor to thin.It has a gold shimmer to it and its super sparkly in the sun.Best of all?No annoying brush strokes! I really love this color and I will definitely be using it again.

I have no idea what collection it's from and I couldn't find many other reviews on this one either :(.

I tried to had Essies Shine of the Times over it but as you can see it didn't show up :(.

Day 1 - Red

Here is Day 1 of my 31 Day challenge hosted by Painting Outside the Lines .

I used Ruby Slipper by Savvy
Snow Me White by Sinful Colors
Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint

I must admit I'm not to fond of red nail polish but this one is gorgeous.It also has red glitter in there that I couldn't capture on camera.I really like Savvy's polishes.The application is always smooth and its not to thick but not to thin either.I love it.I will definitely use this again.

So what do ya think?
I can't wait to do the rest of the challenge.

Mane 'n Tail Hoofmaker Hand and Nail Therapy

I know that this isn't nail polish but it is related and I just had to share it with you all.A couple weeks ago my mom and I went to Sally's Beauty Supply and they were having a BOGO on Mane 'n Tail products so I decided to finally try their hand and nail moisturizer.
I have extremely dry skin so bad that I can't do dishes because my hands will get so dried out they crack and bleed (I know you are probably thinking lucky you haha but it sucks).I have tried so many moisturizers that claim they are non greasy,soothing,especially for severe dry skin but nothing has worked thus far.That was until I decided to give Mane 'n Tail Hoofmaker Hand and Nail Therapy a try!
OMGosh what a blessing.It's not greasy at all,very light weight,smells great,my cuticles have never looked better and best of all my hands are no longer cracked and dry.You can also use this on dry elbows and feet.
I love this stuff and I will definitely be buying this from now on!
If you have dry skin or are looking for a new hand moisturizer then I highly recommend giving Mane 'n Tail Hoofmaker Hand and Nail Therapy a try!

Update on our polishes

Just wanted to give a little update on our polishes.We let them sit for 2 weeks without touching them to see if they would separate and some did really bad.So we are working on fixing it.We should have our Etsy up soon though for the ones that didn't separate.I will post a link as soon as We have that up and running.Thank you to everyone who has been patiently waiting for them to be released. 31 Day Challenge!

Painting Outside the Lines is doing a 31 Day Challenge and asked other's to join in as well and she is offering nail art goody bags to everyone who completes the 31 days and 1 grand prize winner at the end! I have always wanted to do a 31 day challenge but wasn't sure if I could actually pull it off.Well this time I have a blog to keep up so I have an excuse to take the time everyday to do my nails and I am going to try my butt off to make it the whole 31 days! I am so excited I can't wait to get started!
So the meaning of this rambling?? I will finally have a post for you everyday!YAY! So be on the lookout!

A special guest!

Today I have a swatch for you from a special guest-My 4 year old daughter Ally (Alexandria)! She usually doesn't want nail polish on her nails but a couple of weekends ago I got China Glaze Flying Dragon(Neon) and she said "Ooh I want to wear that"! So of course I immediately put it on her.
I had set the bottle down on the bed and she started playing with it and said "Look Mommy I'm like you" haha so I took a couple pics and said I would do a blog post about it and use the pictures for it.She was so proud!So without further ado here they are :)

  The dry time on this one was extremely fast like 20 seconds or so which is great when applying on a hyper 4 year old lol but what really surprised me was that it is matte!I hadn't seen any swatches of this one before getting it so I had no idea what to expect from it.
In all honesty though I don't like it :(.It is very pretty in the bottle with its pink and dark purple glitters but you cant see them on the nail which is disappointing :( Oh well my daughter loves it so its still a winner for me haha.

What a day!

I am so sorry guys I know I promised pictures but today has been a horrible day for me.I have been battleing one heck of a headache and earache all day and somehow I managed to ruin almost all of the pictures I had taken this morning.
Hopefully this is just a 24 hour bug and I will be back on my feet tomorrow!
But I shall leave you with a teaser for what is to come!!

A quick update!

Just thought I would write a quick post letting everyone know we are a bit closer to getting our Etsy shop open!We put the polishes to the test and they seem to be ready.I am so excited I cant wait to show you all.
I was hoping to have some pics up for you guys tonight but my batteries died so it will have to wait until tomorrow when there is some sunlight.
I'm sorry it is taking so long but I just have to make sure they are perfect!
I will have sneak peek pics tomorrow for sure and hopefully the link for out Etsy shortly after that so stay tuned!!
